West Lombard This is actually really steep, I took it with the camera
parallel to the pavement. The tilt of the building at top left gives it
away. Walking down this street it feels like it's at least 40 degrees.
Cars have to park at 90 degrees. Signage is blunt about that.

The green line is my earlier trip. The red line is the trip with these
photos. Although the red trip looks longer, some of it was spent using
MUNI (San Francisco Municipal Railroad, in this case, trolley buses). I
think it works out overall to less walking distance, but those hills are
brutal, esp. up Lombard and Powell.
Plans for Next Time
On my next trip, I may stay on the 42 all the way around to Fisherman's
Wharf, and get some shots of the Golden Gate bridge.
