So here's what I think we need... From the Developers 1) a product page for Firebird ("products/firebird") 2) a project page for Firebird ("projects/firebird") - these two things should be hosted on m.o (regardless of url) since these are m.o products. - (1) focuses on marketing the product but heavily outsources to support site - (2) is a home for milestone plan, development road map, build instructions, bug instructions etc. Community/User Support 3) a support site for users (with tips, faqs, themes, extensions etc) 4) a forum site for users (with forums to discuss features, bugs, builds, etc) With this system, each component maintains autonomy and remains focused at providing what it does best. This system can be mirrored for other Mozilla projects that wish to establish a marketing presence for themselves (e.g. Thunderbird, Camino, etc). All the development info can remain over in projects/ where it has been.
